Nike's Latest VaporMax Is Inspired by a Popular '90s Runner

Nike latest silhouette to use VaporMax tooling is hitting shelves later this month.

The VaporMax Plus brings together Nike's current favorite Air cushioning platform with the classic Air Max Plus. It is set to debut in a clean “Triple Black” colorway, with a neoprene and TPU upper mimicking the look of the original Air Max Plus. The small Swoosh branding  synonymous with the Air Max Plus has also been moved to the heel, similar to the placement used on the Air Max 95. The yellow Tuned Air “Tn” logo from the original pairs has also been tweaked to a “Vm” to represent this sneaker's VaporMax bottom and is seen on the heel and insole.

Look for the Nike VaporMax Plus “Triple Black” to hit shelves on Jan. 25. Retail pricing has yet to be announced.
